How can I become a WIB Executive?

Our system involves a 3 step process:

Nominations.

  • You are either nominated or self-nominated via google form. You/others can be nominated for multiple positions.

  • After the Google Form closes, nominees will be notified by email about the position(s) they have been nominated for.

  • You may accept your top TWO nominations to officially run for that role by the following Monday.

*The President position is only offered to those who have had leadership positions within Women in Business (i.e. Assistants, Interns, and Executive Board Members)

Speeches.

  • You will submit a video speech, under one minute and thirty seconds, explaining who you are and why you are a good candidate for the role - can be accomplished via a recorded presentation with slides on Zoom or simply a recording of yourself via your phone/camera. Only one video is allowed per nominee, even if there are multiple nominations to be considerate of everyone’s time.

  • The video submission deadline will be announced during GBM, released in our newsletter, and on this website when it is confirmed.

  • All submissions will be uploaded to the WIB shared drive for all members to review before the Live Candidate Q&A .

Elections.

  • All members will vote for their favorite candidates on designated voting days.

  • Votes will be counted and the elected parties will be announced about a week after voting.

  • Elected parties must reach active member status by the end of the semester.
